BAC After School
Launched in 2012 with leadership support from The Thompson Family Foundation, BAC After School is an arts education program for public high school students. BAC After School empowers students to engage with the arts in New York City. Each year, students attend up to 20 events at arts organizations around the city – from plays to dance to art exhibits. Then, in seminars at BAC, students learn how to respond critically and express their opinions.
BAC After School is a FREE program.
Students have attended performances and shows at The Public Theater, New York Live Arts, BAM, HERE Arts Center, Brooklyn Museum, and St. Ann’s Warehouse, amongst many others. The program has over 150 alumni from schools in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx.
A donation of $500 gives one student the opportunity to participate for one semester; $1,000 provides for two semesters, including performance tickets, transportation, and meals.
With your generous support, BAC After School will continue to transform young lives for many years to come.
