Baryshnikov Arts Center Resident Artist

Pontus Lidberg

Choreographer/filmmaker Pontus Lidberg (Stockholm, Sweden / NYC) will develop Written on Water (working title), a film about an impossible love, in which dance serves as the thematic and poetic device. The layered process of creating choreography for film—interacting with dancers, filming scenes, and reconstructing these experiences through editing—inspires content impossible to convey through any singular medium.
