binbinFactory / Rie Fukuzawa & Satoshi Haga

Satoshi Haga and Rie Fukuzawa will develop MICRO and MACRO, a microcosm of choreography and projected animations. The project began in the SEANSE Artist Residency in Norway in 2018 and has since been further developed and presented in New York and France. binbinFactory’s choreography seeks to fuse aspects of Eastern and Western storytelling cultures through dance, movement, and theater. Haga’s animations were created between 2011 and 2022, inspired by and responding to the Fukushima nuclear disaster and the more recent Covid-19 pandemic, and the accompanying sound is designed by Fukuzawa.
