La Travesía (2011)
por instantes, a collective of Barcelona-based artists led by German choreographer Julia Koch and New York theater director Daniel Zippi, makes its U.S. debut with La Travesía. In this dance theater work, a series of brief encounters at an urban intersection are set to an original, eclectic score based on recordings taken from the vibrant streets of Barcelona.
La Travesía was developed, in part, during creative residencies at Antic Teatre/Adriantic Espai de Creació, Barcelona; Fabrica de Creació Nau Ivanow, Barcelona; and the Baryshnikov Arts Center. Generous support for the performances at BAC provided by Institut Ramon Llull, and Spain Culture New York and Spain Arts & Culture.
