Composer Daniel Wohl performs his new album Holographic, joined by the virtuosic ensembles Mantra Percussion and the Holographic String Quartet (featuring members of Flux Quartet and String Noise). A visual component by artist Daniel Schwarz blend with Wohl’s rich electroacoustic creations to bring his spellbinding multimedia work to life.

Holographic is a new album and performance series co-commissioned by Baryshnikov Arts Center, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Liquid Music Series, MASS MoCA, and Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Daniel Wohl

Daniel Wohl creates music that “blurs the line between electronic and acoustic instrumentation and seemingly melt both elements into a greater organic whole (WNYC).” He collaborates with ensembles, artists, filmmakers and choreographers, connecting the endless sonic possibilities of today's world with his classical compositional background. 

He has been called one of his generation’s “imaginative, skillful creators” (New York Times) with work that is “provocative and surprising” (NPR) and “beautiful...original” (Pitchfork). Wohl has worked with ensembles such as the American Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony, eighth blackbird, Calder Quartet, New York Youth Symphony, So Percussion and collaborated with artists such as Julia Holter, Laurel Halo, and Son Lux. His music is published by Music Sales /G. Schirmer.
