Performance artist Erin Markey (NYC) will develop A Ride On The Irish Cream, a darkly psychedelic comedy set in a fantastical backyard on a cold blue river. An original score, performed live by a four-piece band, creates the playing space for the thrills and terrors of the relationship between a vainglorious self-made princess and her family's pontoon boat/horse.
Erin Markey received generous support from NYPAC, the New York Performance Artists Collective, for the development of A Ride On The Irish Cream.
Erin Markey is a writer/performer, actress and singer who has shown work at BAM, Under The Radar Festival, New Museum, PS 122, Lincoln Center Director’s Lab, San Francisco Film Society, and frequently at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater.
