BAC Space Fall 2015

For three weeks in November, BAC hosts six artists and companies who will work concurrently in all of BAC's studios. BAC Space residents will have dedicated time and space to develop projects and collaborations, as well as opportunities to exchange with other artists across disciplines. BAC Space includes a series of informal work-in-progress showings open to the public.

Project: Remains (working title), a work exploring the illusion of ego and the notion of a fluid boundary between the self and one’s environment. 

2PM / Studio 4B 
Erin Markey / Theater / Music 
Project: Ride On The Irish Cream, a darkly psychedelic comedy set to an original score performed live by a four-piece band. 

3PM / Jerome Robbins Theater
Brokentalkers / Theater 
Baryshnikov Arts Center and Irish Arts Center Resident Artist
Project: A collaboration between two performers and a composer, fusing electro synth music with original text to examine themes of aging. 

4PM / Studio 4B
Somi / Music 
Project: Dreaming Zenzile, a jazz opera inspired by the late South African singer and political activist, Miriam Makeba. 

5PM / Studio 6A
Pontus Lidberg / Dance / Multimedia
Project: Written on Water (working title), a film in which dance serves as the thematic and poetic device.
